The Culture Archive by Kidus Hailesilassie is a multi-media immersive experience of an AI-generated language archive from the continent of Africa and its diaspora with multiple artistic extensions.

It is an artistic expression — a platform for think-tank and dialogue recentering the writing tapestry from the continent of Africa and its diaspora. The project uses these writing systems as a framework to talk about knowledge generation and technology while creating a platform for dialogue on colonial histories of erasure and resilience. It’s composed of multiple installation components aiming to build further bridges between the continent and its global diaspora.
