Language Is Leaving Me by ODL Fellow Ellen Pearlman is a work-in-progress investigating epigenetic, or inherited traumatic memory of cultures of diaspora through the lens of AI and GANs triggered by biometric indicators. It reaches back to the origin of memory, both human and computer to evoke what can, and cannot be retained and interpreted through digital means, as it compares and contrasts the actual, the imagined and the archival.
