Co-Creation Studio’s WORLDING Initiative in MIT News
Our WORLDING initiative, a partnership between Co-Creation Studio and Unity for Humanity, is featured in MIT News.
At the intersection of climate science, real time 3D engines, storytelling and speculative futures, the WORLDING initiative lead by Kat Cizek, artistic director of the Co-Creation Studio, in partnership with Unity for Humanity and with support from producer Srushti Kamat and ODL mentors, incubated 5 international, multidisciplinary projects over 6 days whose teams they found through an open call.
These immersive experiences, born out of real-time data and spatial storytelling, offer a unique glimpse into speculative climate narratives. In collaboration with world-class climate storytellers and MIT researchers, the teams have harnessed extended reality (XR) and game engines to bring these stories to life, pushing the boundaries of how we perceive and interact with our changing world. As part of the workshop, there were 27 talks all of which you can watch here. Read the MIT News article here.
