Sandra RodriguezA documentary filmmaker and a sociologist of new media technologies, Sandra Rodriguez is driven by her will to experiment, analyze and create with media to produce change. She shot her first documentary in Bolivia, following activists’ fight for the right to water (2001). Since then, she has directed, produced and shot independent films broadcasted and exhibited internationally (including We Were There; Rapayan; The Enemy Within). In 2015, she authored and co-directed the 5th episode of the acclaimed Do Not Track web series (created by Brett Gaylor, with Upian/NFB/ARTE/BR), a personalized exploration of privacy in the new web economy. A scholar and lecturer, Dr. Rodriguez has published a book and articles on Youth, social engagement and mobilization in network cultures.
