Launched in 2016, Immerse published regular features, along with responses to these pieces, plus roundups of relevant events and projects. With a curious and critical eye, we covered an array of topics: artificial intelligence, equity in tech, networked activism, nonfiction games, and more. We drew upon expertise across the field and served as a bridge between academia and industry. We published research from across the field as well as from our Lab including researched developed through our partnership with IDFA DocLab.
In May 2023, we announced that Immerse would enter a chrysalis period to archive and sunset Immerse as we know it and to reimagine what the Immerse community and dialogue of the future might be. Our Immerse content that was previously published on Medium is now archived here.
