Author, director, and architect Mathieu Pradat focuses his work on the growing interaction between virtual and real worlds as territories that convey new forms of narratives and emotions. His VR experiences and films (The Roaming, Proxima) have been selected and won awards at a number of festivals, including The Cinema Biennale – Venice Virtual Reality, the Geneva International Film Festival, the Frankfurt Biennial, and the Rotonda at the Locarno Film Festival. He is the founder and director of La Prairie Productions, where he is currently producing his two experiences The Roaming and Encounters. He is starting a PhD thesis at the University Paul Valéry Montpellier 3, where he is researching what characterizes narrative spaces in virtual reality.
While at the OpenDocLab, Mathieu is conducting research on his thesis and working on the experience The Response, which questions the possibility of feelings of love being triggered by AI.
