SELECTION OF KEY IDEAS (DIRECTOR’S CONTRIBUTION)

PaulinaTervo (writethisdown): For me we can consider three basic factors: the fact that users can stream video online, the use of social networks and how people consume media.

Christopher Allen (UnionDocs): In the past, with linear media, there has been some  expectations and frustration from the maker’s point of view, and that allowed interactive media to flourish as a possibility, not only because of the technology, but also because there’s a cultural need.

Richard Lachman (Ryerson University): The cost of the means to produce is now cheaper and more accessible, the capabilities of a Macbook Pro or an i-phone, for example. In addition to this, more people can become creators and the funding opportunities have increased in recent years as well.

Caspar Sonnen (IDFA Doclab): Other factors involved are economic factors, especially the crisis, which have led to the production of different types of content, such as interactive advertising or other forms of expression.
