CommUNITY Reimagined

In 2020, as humanity reeled from the devastating economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic and as unheeded warnings about climate change and species extinction came home to roost, we needed stories of hope more than ever before. As humans, we love to gather, grow connections, and build partnerships. The Covid-19 lockdowns and their associated restrictions added to our sense of loss, especially of commUNITY. In this talk, Noel Kok will discuss how storytellers can rethink, reimagine, and recreate commUNITY through innovation and technology, exploring more inclusive solutions that would continue to provide access and space for Africa’s next generation impacting conservation through film. He will also share how he held the world’s first nature and wildlife global congress in Social VR.
